Based on this map it looks like the above mentioned schools will be in the area where there has been a bacterial contamination. Has anyone heard about how school will be handled tomorrow because of this? This is a huge health hazard.

UPDATE: All District Columbia Public Schools, including those impacted by today's water outage, will open on time on Thursday, March 6.
However, due to the water outage in Ward 3, school breakfast will not be served at seven schools tomorrow, including Hearst ES, Janney ES, Lafayette ES, Mann ES, Murch ES, Deal MS and Wilson HS. Given the circumstances of the water outage, parents are encouraged to pack lunches for their students, if possible, as limited lunch will be available at school. Bottled water will also be provided to students. |

| Yes, indeed. DC seems like a third world city. |
Right...I feel as if I'm in Karachi every time I step outside my door. Exaggerate much, hun? |
| Janney serves breakfast? why? there can't possibly be enugh FARMS kids for that. |
They didn't when my child went there, but I think this was just a general statement. |
All DCPS serves free breakfast as required by the DC Healthy Schools Act. |
| Yes, Janney serves breakfast |
| Is the water cleared yet? |
