Acceptance Rates?

I apologize if this is listed somewhere & I can't find it, but it there a simple list of area private schools & the percentage of applicants who are accepted. Not looking for breakdown of boys, girls, siblings, legacies, etc. - just a basic "school X accepts 10% of applicants, school Y accepts 30%."

You could try Peterson's Guide to Independent Secondary Schools, although I'm not sure if that contains information for day schools or just the boarding schools. I don't know of any localized lists.

My sense is that the information you seek is more readily available for boarding schools than day schools, perhaps because day schools often get many of their applicants through more set feeder relationship and don't have the same need to publicize information widely.

That info has never been compiled -accurately- in one place. Including by self-aggrandizing consultants. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not being truthful.

Why:'several of the schools do not divulge those statistics.
