I rented a Medela breast pump with my first and am expecting my second...I'm contemplating just buying one. Any thoughts as to the Pump In Style Advanced versus the Freestyle? |
I was using the medela symphony for the first two months, and then bought the medela freestyle. It took some getting used to: they have the flexible material horns vs. the plastic hard ones that I got with the symphony (got some milk spills initially), and the pumping speed is slower. After a day or two, i got used to the new rate, and was getting the same results in terms of pumping volume and no more spills. I don't know anything about the medela advanced, but i'm totally happy with the freestyle, so if you have any specific questions, let me know. |
I am also happy with the freestyle. It is pretty quiet and the handsfree is nice. (It hooks onto your nursing bra very easily.) I don't know anything about the Advanced. |
Never tried the Freestyle-- heard it didn't work as well if you're well-endowed?
Used the PIS Advanced for over a year, w/ no problems. |
i have been happy with the pump in style, and with the bustier it is also hands free. the lactation nurses advised me against the freestyle saying that it was more complicated to hook on and not worth the extra money. |
