Looking for a down alternative comforter to go inside a duvet cover. There are so many choices it's hard to know what to get! Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Thanks! |
I got one in Queen size at Bed Bath Beyond that I really love. I think it's their brand or some generic type. It was under $100 with one of the 20% off coupons. Very warm and light, not too fluffy. |
There is a good selection on Amazon. Just got one for 50 bucks and so far I really like it. |
Ikea. Nice prices, a good variety of weights. |
+ 1. we got all of our down alternative comforters there. if I remember, price is around $50-$60 for a queen size with a high heath index. there are several levels depending if you use them year around or in cold weather and if you need more or less cover even in the winter. I am always cold so I got a high index and sleep great. |
Target brand - got one for DC's bed and it's been great. |
Charter club from macys, many different weights. |
I bought a Ralph Lauren one form Home goods and it sucks. A year later and all the filling has compressed and is no longer evenly distributed. |
We like to get them from West Elm. We have West Elm and Pottery Barn duvets and they fit perfectly. We were having fit issues with the ones from Ikea... |
Yep, you have to watch bedding at Home Goods. I wonder if it's knock-off stuff. I bought Hugo Boss and Vera Wang sheets and they were both crap. But you get what you pay for. Lesson learned. |
We got a silk fill comforter that was part of a road show at Costco. I wasn't really thrilled with DH's decision to buy it but now I love it. I think it is SmartSilk or something like that. Expensive but terrific. |
I bought two at Kohls. Theirs come in different weights so I bought a lighter one for spring and a heavier one for cold weather. |
