DD's friend just told us that she wrote on of her college essays on swimming with dolphins at a resort in Mexico. And how it led to her deep connection and love for animals
I cannot stop laughing. Stereotypical teenaged girl, much? |
| You can write about anything. Some threads on College Confidential are about what kids wrote about and they are all over the place. |
| Well who knows, any silly topic can be a good essay if well written. |
| Agree with 18:55. I wrote about how stepping off the edge of a cliff when repelling for the first time (even though I was deathly afraid of heights) helped teach me about conquering fears and the life lessons it taught me. Sorry it was a long time ago and I can't remember exactly how I phrased it. Had a couple of people write on my acceptance letter how much they loved my essay! |
I hope you spelled rappelling correctly in you essay
|
| Was she pregnant when she swam with the dolphins? |
Might be a stereotypical TEENAGE girl but you are a stereotypical competitive parent. Why should you care what she wrote her essay on? |
Now THAT would have made an interesting essay! |
I'm having trouble seeing whats so funny. |
I'm having trouble processing OP's glee. Seriously, who mocks a child? |
|
I'd rather read something by an 18yo behaving like an 18yo rather than an 18yo trying to to be something she's not.
What kind of adult mocks children like this? |
Probably the same kind that mock an actor's dyslexia. |
| I wrote about being afraid of the dark. |
| OP is a loser. Hope the girl gets in every place she applied. Judgmental much?? |
|
OP,
It's weird you have posted this, even though I agree it's an eye-roller of a topic for a college essay. |
