This is what a 12 year old girl who watches too much television thinks an ambassador looks like

+100

The leg pose - I'm noticing this more recently, like even at the Met Gala. A weird thigh in front of thigh, slightly squeezed. Maybe supposed to make their legs look longer and thinner? That's how I look when I have to pee.

yep

Everything about this is terrible and I love that for her. Even the link name calls her out- sloppy, what a perfect word.

Imagine being 27 and dressing like this! 😂🤣

I love my jammies I wear them everywhere even the office who cares.

It pains me to say this but she looks really good. The dress is perfect. Hair looks glossy and great. Shoes are a little casual but whatevs.

I wouldn't go that far. The dress is perfect for the occasion and looks nice on her but her hair is so meh as always.

I am BEGGING any hairstylists reading this to reach out to the VP's office. Good lord.

Her hair looks great - shiny and healthy. What on earth are you talking about?

DP: isn’t it too much gray for a 39 year old?

I think I remember and Indian friend telling me that Indians go gray earlier, but my memory could be failing me

I think many women go gray early regardless of their ethnicities but they just color their hair and no one knows. She, however, choses not too. Could that be an Indian influence? (Indira Ghandi comes to mind)

Yes, this.

As a long-time hair colorer, who went gray early, I love the trend of making gray hair normal.

Jesus no it’s not an Indian influence because one other Indian public figure who happens to be a woman did it.

I kind of can’t get over that PP thought Indira Gandhi might be a style icon for US born Indian women in 2025.

This is hilarious.

You're right. 1.5 billion people must ALL go gray early.

It is possible if they are of the same people group, yes. Your dig isn't the comback you thought it would be, it was illogical.

What exactly is a "people group", PP? Is that a scientific term?

Do a little digging into the people of India, please. You'll find that they are not actually all that genetically similar to one another.

If she got rid of the thick, thick hair (is it a wig?? too many extensions? I'm so confused), and wore normal clothes, she'd look like a normal person. Her makeup isn't too MAGA here.

I kind of can’t get over that you actually thought that it was a serious statement. What makes this thread so good is the fact that many contributors write in tongue in cheek way. But apparently some people take it all quite literally.

(And if anyone is using Indira Gandhi as a hairstyle inspiration that would be Tulsi Gabbard. I bet you think I’m serious.)

Did you write it? Otherwise, I’m going to say you are giving that poster too much credit and you miss a lot of weird statements about minorities, particularly Indians, that get posted on DCUM.

+1 Indian woman here, you would not believe half of what I've read here about Indian women that people actually meant seriously.

Can’t believe no one posted Melania’s look at the stamp event yesterday. Long black leather shirt, white shirt, white blazer draped over her shoulder. I guess it’s on point for her but pretty boring.

Or you could have posted it.

I like that look and love the leather skirt.

She looks great! I think the caped jacket look is weird, but it's her thing.

The jacket looks like a peacoat- weird choice for may. I think everything but the coat looks good but the coat ruins it.

I would have preferred that outfit without the coat, but that skirt seriously emphasizes her legs. She looks pretty good!

Why is Barbara Bush being honored with a stamp?
