Lead teachers do not typically work at aftercare, but other staff do. The directors are really great- and have been doing it there for years, and both have worked at the school in some sort of role (speech and language support, inclusion teacher). I think care goes until 6 or 6:30 and don't know about the cost. Pre-K students can attend, as well. They also offer care on parent-teacher conference days and in the summer (in the summer it seems to be a lot of fun- swimming, etc). FYI- it is a pretty laid back approach with a definite structure. This is not an extension of the school day or rigorous academic support, nor do I personally feel it should be- especially for PK. It is a time for play and relaxation.
