I am from the south where we can buy them at any grocery store. Here, I can't find them ANYWHERE!? I am not a baker, so I would appreciate it if anyone could give me a heads up. I need them for tomorrow!
THANK YOU!!!! |
| do you mean the packaged ones, or bakery fresh? if the former, i think harris teeter usually has them (a southern grocery chain, i think). |
At this point I will do bakery or packaged store kind. Thank you for posting PP. I will call Harris Teeter and see!
|
| I've seen (and purchased...) the packaged ones at Safeway. |
|
Giant
Cracker Barrel |
| Walmart |
OP here. Wow, you guys have way more luck. Husband went to Safeway, Giant and Walmart. No luck here in Alexandria. Now he is headed to Harris Teeter thanks to the rockstar previous poster.
|
just FYI, sometimes there are near the bread aisle, not the cookies/hostess/tastycakes. |
| Harris teeter on old Georgetown road. They are downstairs near the elevator. |
|
7-11.
They also used to have them at CVS, but I don't think they do anymore. I haven't seen them on the snack aisle in quite some time. |
|
I have absolutely seen them at the world market in friendship heights - they're always in the "look! Nostalgic foods from your childhood!" section.
Call first, I have to say I don't see them on 100% of my visits to world market. They have the chocolate version, banana and the orangey one -- butterscotch? |
| Yea world market |
| Just was at Giant and Mrs. Greeen's. Saw them at one of these, but walked on by since I don't eat them. |
| The problem with buying them here is they are always stale. I only buy moon pies in the south, where hey are fresh! |
You can find them at Harris Teeter and giant for sure. |
