Anonymous
Registration is now open for the Rainbow Families DC Family Conference featuring comedian and Emmy Award winning actress, Judy Gold, as the key note speaker.

Creating Our Families, Building Our Community, Celebrating Our Strength

Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Georgetown Day School High School Campus
4200 Davenport Street, NW Washington DC 20016-4560

Keynote Speaker: Judy Gold
Emmy Award winning actress and comedian, Judy Gold is a 6' 3" Jewish lesbian comedian with two precocious sons, an ex-partner, a new girlfriend, a difficult mother and a bunch of eccentric neighbors. Her life is made to be a sitcom. If anyone can entertain us with tales of growing up lesbian, being a mom to two boys, dealing with life while being an LGBT parent, Judy Gold can do it. Expect to want more when she is finished.

Exciting Programs to Build and Support Our Families
The 2014 Conference will bring together hundreds of parents and families, prospective parents, expert panelists, service providers, businesses, schools and others interested in connecting with the RFDC community. More representatives from the Washington Area's independent schools then ever will be present. This is a great opportunity to learn more about these school options. We have planned an exciting day of speakers, workshops, discussion groups, and social networking opportunities, all designed to provide useful information and practical resources on a variety of topic areas of importance to LGBT parents and prospective parents.

Fun Programs for the Kids Too!
The conference also includes a fun and nurturing day of activities for children 2.5 years and up. Kids' Camp is set up for children 2.5 yrs. through Elementary School age and will be broken into three age groups. Children of Middle and High School age will each separately attend age appropriate programs facilitated by COLAGE, geared to identify how the world 'sees' LGBT families and how they wish what the world knew was different. There will not be on site child care for those under 2.5 years. You may choose to leave them home with a sitter or bring them with you to remain in your care throughout the day.

Register NOW!
We are expecting record numbers of participants this year, so register NOW. We have kept registration fees the same as 2012 and are willing to provide reduced registration fees to those who need help with the cost of the conference. More information about the RFDC Family Conference is available on the RFDC website Conference Information. Register here: http://www.rainbowfamiliesdc.org
