What would be appropriate to wear? Do I need to dress up in like a ballgown? Just don't want to look underdressed thanks

Only when toting a toddler on New Year's Eve. Otherwise, pretty much anything.

You will see people in everything from jeans to cocktail dresses. It's upscale-casual. Coats and ties aren't required.

I'd probably wear skinny black pants or sweater dress w/ boots...

Think midwest casual, jeans and a nice shirt.

I was there last weekend, and I wore grey skinnies, black booties, and a silve/grey sweater. Some people dress up, others don't. You will be fine in nice pants and top, or a dress.

We went in nice jeans.

Whatever goes opposite dress pants and a blazer or sportcoat.
Though the blazer or sportcoat isn't required.

It's really not fancy. Nice jeans and a shirt. Don't bother with heels.

I (f) went there with about 5 tech geeks dressed in old t-shirts and jeans. We were seated at a nice table and enjoyed a good meal. Some diners were dressed up a bit, others were not.

It's a chain steakhouse. Wear whatever you want.
