Anyone know of a place where they use natural products to color the hair? Or at least offer the option? With good results of course.
I would prefer something in NoVA. Thanks. |
Highlights don't actually touch your scalp, so if you're worried about the "chemicals" getting into your bloodstream, I don't think that should be a concern.
I colored during my 2nd trimester and had no issues. If you are just looking for a natural product, I'm pretty sure Wella makes one. I don't know who uses it so you might have to call around. Best of luck! |
Oh, those are great news! I thought any kind of coloring was a big no no - at least during the first trimester.
Thanks ![]() |
We use Wella at our salon (http://www.salonkhouri.com), which is safe. I am married to the owner so definitely trusted him to do my highlights and color while I was preggo with our two kids ![]() Off topic, but I also teach a prenatal yoga class if you are interested ![]() |
Can I highlight my hair during the first trimester, so long as they don't touch my scalp? My last OB said this was fine but I was told over the phone by my new Drs office that I can't do anything until the 2nd trimester. I am going to ask a Dr but I don't go in for a few weeks ... |
My doctor said it was fine and I highlighted my hair throughout all three trimesters. To paraphrase him, "After all, pregnant women work in hair salons all the time and their babies are fine." |
I have had my hair colored and highlighted during the first trimester (my kids are fine although when they are acting insane I do grasp for reasons why ![]() |
I agree, and did it with my last child, which is why I thought it odd that my new Drs office told me this over the phone, when my last OB said it was fine -- it was a NP though and not a Dr so maybe she was being overly cautious? |
