2028 Girls Lacrosse

This is really hilarious. Pride delivers against multiple top ten opponents, and instead of naysayer guy eating his hat, he and his buddies come up with a conspiracy theory. Too funny. Eat your heart out and enjoy your Infowars.

By the way, before Hero's got unfairly jerked around (so did Crush by the way), Pride was told their actual 6-5 win over Freestyle was properly credited, and for about 12 hours from Saturday night through Sunday morning, Tourney Machine reflected Pride at 2-0-1 going into their Eagle Stix matchup. AFTER that game, they were told the tournament staff reversed its decision and went with the score in the scorebook (making it a 5-5 tie), even though they were aware it was a mistake, due to winless Freestyle protesting. So Pride was pretty thoroughly jerked around too. Either way, they deserved to be in the bracket, and make good on the opportunity.

More broadly, it's tough to have only 1 team come out of the 8-team top bracket. Hero's was clearly deserving. Crush also has a case from their very strong bracket as well. Ultimately it's up to the tournament operators and we all get to abide by their rules.

Congrats to Stars on a solid tourney as well, both LB and Navy won brackets. To the rational folks out there, have a great summer! See you at tryouts, wherever you may go.

And the Md fandads are just angels. The superiority you throw on this forum is on display daily. Pride wins a tourney and suddenly DMV is entitled??? Had way more respect for you before this bro.

Happy Pride Month.

Are you typing from Seacrets now?

I never had an issue with Pride or its kids. I think they did great. The tournament was poorly managed. No one can argue against that. Nor do I see anywhere where the point allocations are promulgated for wins or ties. I’m not trying to stir any pot with Pride. They dis the best by their kids as Hero’s did with theirs. I just think the wrong decision was reached.

I agree with most of this. Problem is the tournament officials did not post the relevant rules and applied them inconsistently. Total $hit show.

Except for the plain fact that 3-1 was ranked higher than 2-0-2. Tourneymachine does not lie. Pride played well but Hero’s had their spot stolen. Plain and simple.

It appears genesis gave 5 pts for a win and 3 for a tie. Unusual scoring. Hopefully Genesis will follow soccer and give 3 pts for a w and 1 for a tie. That being said congratulations to Pride for winning their last tournament. A lot of prior teams mailed it in as they left for Capital.

One thing is clear after watching Pride/Stars - Cap Blue will be almost all Pride Red.

Stars will get more girls on Capital. If kid goes to SSSAS it’s pretty much guaranteed

Well, at some point he will retire or stop coaching, so that will no longer be how it will work. Just making sure that isn’t happening this year and he is in fact coaching the 28 team. I assume you know him personally?

you act like him not coaching would be a reason to turn down the team? chill

If they want the team to be compete it will only have 4 from stars max.

This is how I think the Top Ten will look when the rankings come out later this week:

1. Yellow Jackets LI Maget (2028)
2. Hero's Green (2028)
3. Eagle Stix Blue (2028)
4. Coppermine Black (2028)
5. Mass Elite Red (2028)
6. Crush MD (2028)
7. M&D Black (2028)
8. Pride Red NOVA (2028)
9. Prime Time (2028)
10. MD United East (2028)

No big shakeup is expected, though I have a few notable changes:

Hero's up 1 spot to #2
Eagle Stix down 1 spot to #3
Prime Time up 1 spot to #9
MDU up 1 spot to #10
Aces falls out of Top 10 to #11

I suspect Mass Elite will come back to earth as the summer progresses, but for now they will still be #5.

Probably right. Some other clubs will surprise you with talent you do not know about. Pride will definitely have the lions share. This is not a controversial take at this point.

No way. You take a Cap spot. What are the alternatives?

Yeah it is. Once you get kids out of schemes and see their individual skills the playing field will be leveled. Stars has some great talent that will shine in tryouts. Don’t be deterred.
