| My 86 y.o. father lives alone and could benefit from a home delivery service that provides fresh prepared meals. He's not a particularly healthy eater so would not enjoy the veggie/vegan options out there. He's your basic meat and potatoes guy (think meatloaf and mashed potatoes) who also likes Italian options and the occasional fish dish. He has money and still drives so doesn't need meals-on-wheels--just something close to home cooked that has home delivery. He doesn't cook so the meal would have to be reheated in a microwave. I take him home cooked meals and pick up prepared meals at Wegmans but would like to get him a service that will provide meals when I'm out of town and add some variety to his weekly lineup. Thanks in advance! |

I once used Barbara Bolvin's service. We really enjoyed it for a brief end-of-pregnancy/post-partum period.

$415 for 10 meals, that's insane!! |
| The Meals on Wheels I've volunteered at will deliver to anyone with difficulty preparing meals. The cost is about $159 a month for one hot and one cold meal a day (for those who can pay). It's freshly prepared that morning and tends towards things like meatloaf, potatoes, beans, beets etc., ie not fancy, but good for what it is. |
I am the poster of this site -- totally agree re: probing, which is why we only did it once! It was very helpful at the time, but we just couldn't justify it for regular use b |

Greetings! Please email me at edwige71@live.com or call me at (240) 938-7340. My name is Edwige and I work part-time (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) as a Cook in a Nursing Home not far from Rockville. My job there is to prepare 8 to 9 meals for the residents and the staff. I am available Tuesday and Thursday. Do you only want the home-cooked meals to be delivered or they could also be cooked in your father's kitchen? Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Edwige |
