What Do You Think of Patent Leather Dansko Clogs?

I love Danskos and have been wearing them for years, so this is not a question of whether you like Dansko clogs or not. I'm in the market for a new pair, specifically for a color I can wear with everything/everyday. What are your thoughts on black patent leather? Or Maybe the whiskey color (not patent leather)?

Full disclosure: I don't like the clogs, and the only people I've seen wearing anything like them are nurses with scrubs, like a dressed-up Croc.
That said, I like the whiskey color with jeans. But I don't think they'd work in a professional environment. Black patent leather shouldn't be worn by anyone over 10 years old unless she's a dominatrix. |

| Well I'm a nurse so I wear them with scrubs. They are comfortable but I'd never wear them outside of work. I just think there are other comfortable and more stylish shoes out there. |

Ugh, I am a teacher and wear them all of the time, but my 14 year old daughter just said to me the other day, "clogs just say 'I don't care how I look and have given up'" OUCH. Please tell me what other shoes are comfortable, I have found any.

I like the whiskey color.
I also like the Dansko Primo clogs, which are a tiny bit more streamlined-looking than the Professional is. The cheetah print Primo is great. 
I do agree that there are many, far more flattering footwear choices out there. But none compare to the Dansko clog for comfort. |

Have you looked at Kenneth Cole Gentle Souls brand? Or Mephisto or Easy Spirit - although plenty of their styles are frumpy too?
