Nonpriority applicants to Holton Creative Summer

Does anyone have a sense if Holton ever actually gets to the nonpriority applicants? We are planning to apply for our son who will be 5 this summer and were wondering if there's a realistic chance that he will be admitted without being in any of their priority categories.

I have no direct experience with this, but have heard from friends that it is *very* difficult to get admitted as non-priority. In fact, a good friend of mine even got turned down as a returning camper.

We got in as a nonpriority applicant two years ago. I can no longer remember our position on the wait list, but I remember thinking we'd never get in, and we did.
