Skin changes post-baby -- where to start?

I've always tried to take good care of my skin, and always had very dry skin. Over the years (I'm 35) I've gotten pretty good at knowing what works well for my skin and what doesn't. Since having a baby a year ago, though, my skin seems to have changed (from very dry to not dry, but not sure if it would be considered normal or combo). I finished breast feeding more than 3 months ago, so I feel like hormones should be fairly stabilized.

So it seems like a need to do a bit of overhaul, but where the heck do I begin? Is this typical post-pregnancy? I don't want to spend tons on products that don't work and can't be used up, nor do I want to continue through crappy skin while I figure it out. Anyone BTDT with some ideas?
