I am expecting twins in May 2009. I was wondering if anyone on these boards knows of existing moms groups for twins? I tried some searching on the forums, but did not see much out there.
Thanks! |
Search for Moms of Multiples - http://www.nomotc.org/ - you can find two organizations in this area. I have not yet joined but have looked into it.
Good luck! |
The Montgomery County Parents of Multiples group is amazing. It is such an incredible resource and I have met so many people through it. The website is www.mcpom.org. Join today! |
If you live in or near Northern Virginia try Northern Virginia Parents of Multiples -- www.nvpom.com -- they have been an invaluable resource for me. |
I joined Fairfax County Mothers of multiples right before my twins were born. How I wished I had joined them earlier. FYI -- They meet in Burke which is convient for me, I believe the NoVa MOM meet in Falls Church.

OP here, thanks so much for the tips! I had no ideas these resources existed.

I'm in the same boat. I joined up with Fairfax County Moms of Multiples and they seem to be a pretty active group. My only issue is that their last three expectant mom meetings have been during the day out in BFE. (i.e. 10 AM in Manasass - I'm in Alexandria near Mt. Vernon) I'm hoing there is one in the evening closer in before I have to go on bed rest (mid-Feb). The Membership fee is free for expectant moms.
Best wishes to you! |
PP, you might try NVPOM (www.nvpom.com) as we meet closer in. Most members are from Arlington, Alexandria, DC and close-in Fairfax (falls church/mclean). Monthly meetings are in Falls Church, New Moms' Coffees are held monthly (sometimes on weekends) throughout these areas. HTH! |
