Where to buy bathing suits in DC?

I need to get a couple of bathing suits for two trips coming up soon. I haven't had any luck with fit/ overall look when I've tried to order online, and I probably don't have time for trial and error of ordering, trying sizes and returning anyway. Also it has been a few years (and a kid) since I've bought a bathing suit, so I need to go somewhere where I can try on a number of suits. Re style, I am looking for one for swimming and playing with kids, one for lounging. Maybe tankini or modest two-piece? I live and work downtown so would appreciate any suggestions for DC or close-in suburbs. Thanks in advance!

Athleta! They have a wide range of styles, from bikini to tankini to very conservative. The quality is outstanding.

there's a store in Tysons and I think one in Georgetown.

Everything But Water was a huge success for me, post baby. The ladies working there were super helpful in finding styles, cuts and sizes that worked for me (even ones that I didn't initially think would look good). Worth the price.
