Popcorn is ready. No drinks for me tho. I’ll just go to your bar ![]() |
Surprised it's not more widely known yet and that he is still showing up to coach |
Whatever the reason(s), nothing would surprise me with him (except the fact that JM allowed him to stay around as long as he did - that, I'll never understand). |
Colorado School of Mines has DII men's and women's soccer teams and is considered one of the best engineering/STEM schools in the country with an average bachelor degree starting salary of nearly $82,000 across the entire school. |
I guess he gave him more chances since he did start the club but this is going to be big. Some people will be shocked and some won’t. |
Is Jim also the owner of Loudoun United? |
Is he in the room with us right now? |
No, he’s not the owner of Loudoun United |
Loudoun United merged with Revolution. They are a single entity run by Jim. Not sure about ownership stakes in merged club but he is calling the shots for both. |
There are multi partnerships/owner stakes one of which is Virginia Revolution and one is DC United. This was my undestanding of the merger. |
This spells it out pretty clearly https://wtop.com/local-sports/2025/04/va-youth-soccer-association-virginia-revolution-merges-with-loudoun-united/ |
You pointed out 1 school, most D2s aren't great. Top schools (mostly smaller) are in d3 and of course d1. If you are going to a crap school just to play soccer vs going to better school without, you may have capped your earning potential. Father time is undefeated, you will at some point have to hang up the cleats. |
Kool Aid consumption is high with this one. Are you really comparing this soccer club to revolutionizing youth soccer? Your proximity to Loudoun/NVA will always lock you in as #2 in Loudoun County. MLS will never charter another club in the county. Your best chance at a revolution is praying to ECNL to give you a charter. |
That’s stupid. Know many d3 graduates athletes and non athletes that make coin. It has nothing to do with you being an athlete or not. I know many d1 athletes that make nothing. I know pro athletes that now make nothing. The recipe for success is personal smarts. |
"Personal smarts" which you are painfully obviously lacking. Your response made no sense in response to what the PP wrote re: colleges. Your post says "I know" numerous times. It sounds like you "know" very little and you just showed us all. |
