Which private schools provides the largest amount of Finacial aid?. I recently became a widow and I was downsized from my place of employment.

If you can possibly the applications, apply to ALL of them. Everywhere you can. I was really surprised by which schools offered us aid, and how much. I'm not sure it's always predictable; I think some may depend on random factors from year to year. But apply, apply, apply. And good luck, and I'm sorry about your loss.

Which areas? Which grades?

Around here, Sidwell and St. Albans are significantly above the other schools. However, Gonzaga is significantly cheaper and you should look at other schools with lower tuitions. Finally, as was noted on another thread, some of the very top boarding schools have generous financial aid policies.
