Sending WPPSI scores to St. Patrick's or WES?

Anonymous
My child got a very high (99+) percentile. Should I share this with private schools that don't require the test? I don't want to look too pushy, and I'm unsure if her score will help or hurt her (I read the thread about children with similar scores being rejected from a lot of schools.)

Ask the ADs if they would like to see the scores.

I would think that the children with similar scores who were not accepted were rejected in spite of the scores, not because of the scores. I can't see a downside to including the scores, as long as not subtest or subscale scores were really low.

I thought that WES required the WPPSI.

My DC tested in the 99.7% on the WPPSI, and we sent scores to St. Patricks. DC was accepted. Not sure if it had anything to do with scores, but it certainly didn't hurt.

Send them. I sent DC's scores (in same range as your child's) last year to WES. DC was accepted. A friend's child had similar scores, didn't send them, and wasn't accepted. It may have had nothing to do with test scores. But you never know.

OP here. Thank you everyone. Did you just have the tester send them?

To 19:12, does your child attend St. Patrick's? If so, is he/she doing well there? Thanks.

19:12 here. Yes, we just had the tester send the scores to St. Patricks. And yes, DC attends St. Pats and is thriving there. We absolutely love the school and couldn't be happier.
