same cold, new cold, or something that needs drugs?

two THursdays ago I got a bad cold. (12 days ago)
Over the weekend I got a sore throat and feel very tired. Is this the end of the same cold or a new cold or should I consider a doctor?

I worry that this is a sinus infection. How do I know?

If you are still experiencing cold symptoms after ten days, then see a doctor. You very well could have an infection at this point, esp given that you state you are really tired. FWIW - The ten day guideline was given to me by my allergist, as I have a nasty history with sinus infections.

Yup. I'd see a doctor or one of those CVS minute clinics. It's worth checking out.

A cold involves a runny nose.
A flu involves a runny nose and fever.
A chest infection or bronchitis (maybe after a cold or flu) involves a constant cough.
A sinus infection after a cold or flu is where your nose has stopped running for a day or so, but you are totally congested, your snot is dark yellow or green, and you may have a headache. This backup can go down your throat and infect your chest too.
