Possible to buy a half pound of ground beef?

When I got Giant or Safeway, ground beef is sold in 1lb packages but sometimes I only need half pound. do any stores sell this?

I've never seen it that small. Just split it into a freezer bag, write the date, and save it for next time.

I think you can ask at the meat counter and they'll wrap some for you special.

Or you can freeze the other half to use later.
