Need good dog behaviorist and a good vet in North Arlington -- any recommendations?

Hi, everyone

I have a 10 year old dog who is only barely tolerating my 1.5 year old daughter, which has me a bit worried. To be fair, my daughter tends to poke and pull at my dog, so I can understand why she's not thrilled. My dog was rescued as a young dog and doesn't do well with strangers, barking and growling a lot (though not biting). I'll do what I can to "train" my daughter but would like to work with a behaviorist to help train my dog, too. And since I'm talking dogs, I'm not that happy with my current vet and would love some recommendations for northern Virginia (Lorcum Lane/Lee Highway area). I liked the practice when I started out with them 9 years ago, but I see progressively that the vets I liked have left, and the ones who remain are really into ordering excessive testing and procedures. I'm a softie and will do whatever I need to do for my dog, and I'm feeling like I'm getting suckered lately. If you can recommend a good vet in that area, I would be most grateful!
