I'm a SAHM looking for an everyday casual slip-on shoe to wear with jeans. I tried the dansko clogs but I didn't find them very comfortable. I'd definitely like something closer to a clog than a flat. Thanks for any suggestions!
i like born and b.o.c. by born shoes. lots are slips ons; high quality leather and really conformtable. lots are clog-like (but MUCH more comfortable than dansko.) they do have kind of a clunky look. i think it depends on your jeans and clothing style as to whether they look "too" clunky.

I'd suggest Born mary janes for you to look at. Not a clog but those are clunky/ugly.
You could do a trendier clog, there are many brands available. Also "driving slippers" are very on-trend - they have some at Madewell that are pretty comfortable, more supportive than a ballet flat. For a more casual look, there are also a TON of new slip-on sneakers which are very on-trend - search for "slip-on" sneaker on Zappos or Shopbop and you will find a ton. Vans are also an option. I am probably much more of a fashionista than you, so YMMV.

Look at Dansko and Naot shoes (not clogs). They have some heft but are not clogs, and are super-comfortable.
If you are like me, flats in general (ballet flats, loafers, driving shoes) don't work. |
Frye flats and loafers are the best.
When I'm not in Danskos, my other go-to mom shoes are Cole Haan loafers or Clarks.
Thank you for the recommendations! I'm going to try on a bunch of these.

Merrell mocs. So comfortable!

I'm liking this shape-sort of between a ballet flat and driving shoe: http://www.toms.com/m/black-women-s-jutti-flats/s
