Oh, but that works into the story too. He tells her to stop stripping once they're married but she doesn't like him telling her what to do because she had a job before she ever hooked up with that overbearing man of hers and he can't reconcile in his mind that the reason she was a successful stripper was that men found her physically attractive, which they still do. But it's now inappropriate because she's married.
