Georgetown Endocrinology

Has anyone seen any of the endocrinologists at Georgetown University Hospital? I have an appointment tomorrow (referred because of a nodule on the thyroid, probable Hashimotos -- I've posted here before) and would be grateful for any insights about what to expect. TIA.

I've seen Dr Janicic. She's very nice and thorough. I have straight up hypothyroid so there's not much for them to do except checking my blood tests and adjusting my meds if necessary. I will say that when I asked about changing my thyroid levels through diet she kind of blew it off, but other than that she's fine.

My endo (at GW) also blew it off. Are there any reputable sources saying that you can really change thyroid through diet? My dr was pretty adamant that you cannot significantly change thyroid through lifestyle modifications, and that I'll be on meds for the rest of my life. Would love to hear otherwise....
