| I am looking to order some business cards for myself. I am a recent graduate looking to have more of an impact networking while I job hunt. What are your favorite sites to order from? A quick google brought up vistaprint and zazzle. |

| You get what you pay for, OP. I'd do something a little nicer. Though depending on your field maybe you can do something classic with engraving or thermography. Keep design simple. |
| What field are you in? You might not want to waste your money. I talk to job seekers in my field all the time and I am not impressed simply because they made their own business cards. For good job seeking advice, highly recommend the blog Ask A Manager. Good luck. |

| If you must do vistaprint pay enough so it doesn't say vistaprint on the back. |

Pp-I'm a research analyst.. Was planning to list my specializations on the card in addition to my contact information. I just had a look at that blog, thanks for the tip!!
I'll give vistaprint a shot. PP- I will be sure to not have their name on the back, that would be pretty unprofessional! |

If you do not have access to a designer then Vistaprint works well and the cards are pretty thick- I got some years ago.
Definitely upgrade to premium so that you do not have the logo on the back. However there are so many inexpensive printers out there if you DO have a design that pricewise many places can match or beat vistaprint. |

Recruiter here. The business card thing can be obnoxious, so tread lightly. Better to invest your time and money into a good resume, cover letter, and thank you notes. Follow up with people you meet who spend their time giving you advice via email and/or snail mail. Send a hand written note and make sure they have a well-written, typo free, paper and electronic resume from you. No one is keeping a Rolodex of business cards from recent grads...trust me.
Only caveat is if you are in design or a creative field or have started your own small business. |
| Moo, but I also agree w/ recruiter above. |

Thanks for the feedback. I am not a typical recent grad. Meaning I recently obtained my masters and am looking to network in my desired field although I have been working regularly since undergrad.
I was not planning to be shoveling business cards to recruiters.. More for peer networking events or chance encounters. I have made a few contacts through random meetings at the dog park, happy hour, etc. so I'd like to have something to hand over to keep in touch. |
| Just make sure to use a larger font -- my vistaprint cards had my name way too small. User error but hope to save someone else the frustration. |
