Mansion of Forsyth Park. A couple of blocks outside of the bustling part of the downtown area but seriously nice.

The Olde Pink House.

Paula Deen's restaurant was not good. It is very casual and food was awful. I thought it would be like Emeril's restaurants.

Lived in Savannah for four years.

Mansion on Forsyth is fantastic. But - not right in the main downtown area. A nice walk down, but a very long walk. Bohemian is really nice. Definitely avoid the Hyatt and Marriott.

The Andaz isn't quite "luxury" but is hip and nicely appointed and well located.

The Westin across the river is wonderful, if you don't mind taking a water taxi to downtown. Which seriously is quick and runs pretty frequently.

Restaurants: Cha Bella was a favorite. Zunzi's for on-the-go/picnic. I second the Olde Pink House.
