When to see GYN for spotting?

I've had very light pink spotting for a few days now. This is really abnormal for me. I feel that it's not hormonal and may be related to my IUD. I can only find one string and it feels longer than normal (though of course it's difficult to tell). I do feel a dull ache there, I think.

I am very nervous about doctors. How long do I see how this goes before making an appointment?

I would call first thing Monday morning for an appointment. Mainly because you have an IUD and the spotting is so abnormal for you. I'd want to get checked to make sure the IUD is still in place and you don't have an ectopic pregnancy.

I would make an appointment right away, and don't drop the issue until they figure out the cause. I had random spotting + pain for months after my IUD insertion and it turned out to be PID. I ignored it for months and now may have caused some serious damage. Get thee to a physician!
