IVF — Should I feel symptoms during 2ww?

Anonymous
Hi,
I'm doing my 1st (and hopefully last) ivf cycle and had 3 embryos transferred on Monday, 12/22. Its now day 7 and I don't feel anything. I had some slight cramping and a small, small but of spotting 2 days after transfer, but since then, nothing.

Should I be concerned, or am I just being impatient? Thanks

I did not do IVF, but I am now pregnant and on the cycle I got pregnant, I felt zero symptoms and I thought for sure that I wasn't pregnant since I had no symptoms but then my period did not show up and that's how I found out I was pregnant! If I had not missed my period, I would have had no way to know I was pregnant b/c I really did not feel anything. So just be patient, you can be pregnant and have no symptoms.
Best of Luck.

NO!
I did do IVF and I studied and scrutinzed posts on ivfconnections.com and elsewhere about 2ww symptoms. Really, symptoms in the 2ww are entirely random. Many of the "symptoms" of pregnancy that women have in the 2ww following IVF (cramping, breast tenderness) are a result of the supplemental progesterone they are one which mimics pregnancy exactly. At the same time, many women do IVF and get pregnant without having a single symptom.

I did IVF twice.
Cycle #1--tons of cramps, super sore breasts = had a successful twin pregnancy.
Cycle #2---tons of cramps, super sore breasts = negative.

Please don't worry, 2ww symptoms are entirely random following IVF.

I had no symptoms during my 2ww after IVF. 3 days after I found out I was pregnant (via blood test at doc office) the all-day sickness started. Two weeks later we found out we were having twins. They are now 4.5!

If you are having progesterone supplementation (either by shot or vaginal suppository) as part of the IVF protocol, you will likely feel some symptoms that mimic pregnancy from this alone.
