| The title says it all - a good place for getting hot chcolate with the kids on a cold winter's day? |
| Starbucks? Max Brenner? |
| Le Pain Quotidien. |
| Max brenner! |
| La Madeleine? |
+1 no contest! |
Funny - we hated Max Brenner. There wasn't enough seats, it was totally packed and our hot chocolate lacked heat by the time it arrived. This was at about 9:30 on a Sat night though. Maybe during the day things go better there? But we were annoyed, sent it back to be "heated" and decided we'd skip next time. Oddly, we're not fancy either. |
I didn't like it either (and I might be fancy). |
I hate that place! It took 35 minutes to get a milkshake and it was gritty and awful! I don't think the chocolate there is very good quality either. |
| Caribou beats Starbucks for hot chocolate, unless something has changed recently. |

Giant Food and your kitchen.
Seriously, kids are not connoisseurs and really are find with the little instant packets and some marshmallows swimming on top. |
plus 1. Although changing to Peet's soon. |
|
+2. And thank God. We need a Peet's. |
NP. My kid likes to have the exciting experience of having hit chocolate out and about somewhere. And sometimes on a very cold day it's nice to get out of the house and go for a treat.
