No matter what illness I have - stomach virus, flu, sore throat etc - I always get sore legs that accompany other symptoms. Once I get better they go away and I never have them unless I have other symptoms of illness. I have a bad cold right now and I swear the worst symptom is my achy legs! Doctor once said it was an 'aura' - not sure what that means. Anyone? |
I've never heard of an "aura" happening in your legs. I think you get them before migraines. It's something neurological. Any neurologists out there?
Do you have varicose veins? I had very achy legs from varicose veins while pregnant. Lately they flare up before my period. But recently, my legs ached a lot when I had a UTI. Not sure if it's the same thing you're experiencing, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has these issues too. |
I have this and so does my family. Theory I have heard from doctors is that When you are sick, your body often has inflammation. Some people have this more and areas that tend to be more susceptible Motrin reduces not only fever but inflammation. Vitamin c helps too |
My son gets this. I believe the ped called it myositis. |
Body aches during illness are normal. |
I get this too, OP. My legs always ache for the first day or two that I'm sick. It's not the normal body aches that would come with a flu, it's specifically in my legs (mostly upper legs). |
Yeah, I definitely get this. Never thought about it, just figured it was normal. Motrin usually does the trick. |
Mine do as well. I always thought it was caused by the fever. Motrin helps. |
