IB at Robinson - any experience with the program?

DD is currently in general education program at Rocky Run Middle taking all honors courses and getting all A's (so far!). Her base HS is Chantilly, which we think is a great school. But we're considering the possibility of sending her to Robinson for the IB program. She, of course, hates the idea, because it means leaving her friends. I would never force her to go, but from the basic understanding I have of IB - it sounds like a great program and a good fit for her.

So, has anyone sent their child to Robinson? What did you think of the school, the staff, the IB program? I'm interested in hearing from anyone who had/has a child there, but even MORE interested if Robinson was not their base school. If that's the case, were they opposed to the idea? Did they eventually warm up to Robinson? Did you convince them to give it a try? Or just tell them they had to go?

No one?! I read it's VA's largest HS - surely someone on this board must have something to say I'd really appreciate your thoughts...

I've been reading this tread also. Tempted to try pupil placement for my DS at Robinson, same reason - IB program. I have lots of running buddies who's kids WENT to Robinson (when I am older I will run as fast as them).

Nothing but great things to say about the school. However, we've already got some friends at Robinson. So, although not our base, there will be friends.

I'm trying to have lunch with another friend who's older DD is at Robinson IB to get the dirt - I'll have her post (but right now we are two weeks out for lunch!!).

The deadline is April 15, so we have time.
