What situations would you consider worthy to have a service dog in a store? |
One example, a dog that detects oncoming seizures. |
That's fine, but don't make up stuff if you have no disorder.
Pp here. Seizures, blood sugar etc. Is what I was thinking, too. But, some people with PTSD (for example) benefit, too. |
So did you complain to the store manager then and there? Take a photo and send it to Whole Foods corporate with an email of complaint? Or are you just coming here to vent? COMPLAIN. |
| Yes, ALWAYS take a picture of illegal behavior. |
I complained to customer service right then and there. Another problem, as is often the case, was that, by the time customer service can get the manager to go downstairs and investigate, the customer with the dog has gone through the line and left the store. Everybody must complain! |
Btw, "purse dogs" are not O.K. either. Whole Foods has "No Pets" signs, so they mean "No Pets". A young woman had her stupid little pooch sticking out of her large pocketbook or small bag in line. This is not O.K., people! We still have allergy, fear, etc.!
There was a couple with a little poodle in Gristedes! WTF is that! It's a supermarket! Besides, there were 2 people, so one of them could just as easily stay outside with the pet.
Nobody's pet belongs in a restaurant, grocery store, or other store for that matter!
And they're even F***en doing this during the pandemic! I just saw a customer walking her little pooch out of CVS after a purchase! Don't they ever learn?
+1 to all of this. Plus, don’t drag your ticks around please. |
That's exactly true -- plus signs say it's against store policy. Now we have a pandemic, so add common sense to all that.
+1 Saw a customer taking their dog into a Walmart about three days ago in a shopping cart. I asked the Walmart greeter at the door about the no dog rule, his answer was "They're going to do what they want to do". |
What we have to do in cases like that is take out our phones immediately and report the employees or management. |
