As I understand it, there is quite a shortage of qualified people that choose to be in education let alone in administration. I mean, as an educator of 25 years I GET IT. Taking on very, very difficult positions with physical and emotional dangers (guns! aggressive kids and families! unhappy teachers! toxic
environments!) and lack of the appropriate compensation that should come with the job, no principals will be removed because no one wants the job. It’s a PROBLEM that will not get solved over night. Document, document, document is all we can do. But don’t be angry when there is no one to take on the role… |
I agree with this. The principal job, as it's currently constructed, is a misery-inducing one and the pay does not make up for the headaches. |

Springbrook in the late 90s and early 2000s was a legit great school. It really was.
