I am only 15 weeks and already, my pants are already too tight! I was slightly overweight to begin with and just didn't expect to show this soon. I don't have a "bump" perse but am definitely thick around the middle! I haven't gained much weight, either. It just seems early to me but I have nothing to compare.
When did you start showing with your first?! |
I am not overweight - pretty slim so any bump would show.
My pants got tight around 10-12 weeks but looked bloated. I bought the bella band and wore it until 5-6 months and that is when I started to really look pregnant versus bloated. |
I'm 35 weeks with my first. I felt the same way you did from 15-22 weeks - pants too tight. However, I was 6-7 months and still having to tell people, and they'd be surprised! Which was weird b/c to me I had this big belly. So I guess it shows more to you than others. ![]() I also dress mostly in a maternity cami and blazer b/c the regular maternity clothes are soooooo long on me. So I am not sure if I was just coincidentally covering it. I never got one but hear the bella band is great at allowing you to wear your regular clothes for longer. Best of luck to you and congrats!! |
A secretary in my office asked me if I had a baby bump at 13 weeks. I was very slim so my bloated belly was definitely noticeable to people who knew me. I think my real baby bump (i.e., not just bloat) started showing around 18 weeks. I'm only 5'4" and short waisted so I guess I popped earlier than average.
As for bella bands, they are awesome! I'm 35 weeks now and am wearing one today with pre-pregnancy pants. Such a great invention!! |
I looked online at Bella Bands but don't really "get" them (clearly, first time Mom to be here). Do you wear them around your waist and just unhook your pants and wear the pants around your lower abdomen? |
You wear ur regular pants unbuttoned/unzipped and put the bella band over it to keep them up and camouflage that they are opened.
Best $30 spent!!! I saved so much money not having to buy maternity pants early on and liked my regular clothes so much better. I am back to normal weight and still wear the bella band to smooth out lines or when anticipating a big dinner! Ha! |
I started showing with my first around 15-17 weeks. My pants were very tight and I realized I needed to unbutton and stop wearing my regular panty hose.... |
My waist was thickening and my pants were tight by 14 weeks, but that was due to bloat and, frankly, from about 10-15 lb. weight gain in the first trimester from eating basically pure carbs, constantly, as that was the only thing that would quell my constant nausea. I developed a noticeable baby bump at about 19-20 weeks. |
Bought one and it never worked for me. It didn't smooth out the unbuttoned jeans and they would poke through whatever I was wearing. I thought it was a waste. A rubberband hooked between the button and button hole worked much better for me -- and it's free! |
11.5 weeks. My secretary guessed I was pregnant before I even told my mother! I was always very, very thin so I guess it poppoed right out. |
i was overweight when i got PG but i was still showing noticeably by 15, 16 weeks. |
