Hot water percolator or water pot

I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a percolator for hot water. Need one that is not plastic. The ones I've found at stores are either plastic (which i don't want) or stainless steel but the outside is HOT which is a bit risky for the kids. Would like one that keeps the water hot but you can touch the side and it's not very hot. Kinda like the ones I've seen in the Asian stores-like a hot water pot. You keep it plugged all day (it doesn't have to be). It says the inside is made of steel and the outside is plastic so it doesn't feel as hot. But, at the Asian store, these hot water boiler pots are over $70, which is a bit high for me.
