Do UMCP and other MD schools actually give credit for AP?

How does it work?

I know many private schools don't but I'm wondering about Maryland schools.

Some they do and some they dont

College park did a few years ago, at least. I entered in 2005 and they gave me 45 credits, a mix of ap and community college. I assume it depends on your major, though, how they're counted. If I were a physics major, my ap physics probably would have just counted as an elective.

Let's make this easy -- yes, UMCP does give credit for AP!
