Access to medical records

We decided my son's pediatrician was lacking and requested a copy of his entire medical records on 1/24. Today we received a certified letter that the practice was dropping him.

Are they still required to provide us a copy of his records? Still waiting to receive them.

Yes, they must provide you with his medical files to take to a new dr. They can charge you a copy fee. The max amount depends on what state you are in.
