where do people look for job listings these days?

i haven't looked for a job on the open market since 2004. I would like to find a job back home in Chicago, but I have no idea where to look. Back in the day, I think I mostly looked on idealist.org. Is that still a thing? Any suggestions on websites or other sources?
(if it matters -- I am a lawyer with 5 years litigation experience looking for a career change. currently a fed, but would be looking for something in a non-profit or state/local government. possibly in-house at a company.) |

| You could check out Serco, they are advertising their *Intelligence Careers* but cover many areas of employment. |
