I'm looking for a great recipe for cooking a pork tenderloin in either our slow cooker or dutch oven. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Cook in milk in the italian style - something like this:

sounds and look odd, but tastes delicious:

I use a dry rub recipe on Foodnetwork before roasting.

Are you looking to use a slow cooker or dutch oven because you would prefer to roast on the stove top/counter instead of in the oven? If so, there are some good recipes.

If you want to use a slow cooker because you want to braise or stew the meat, I would really strongly discourage you from using pork tenderloin for this. It is not a good cut of meat to braise. Look for pork shoulder/butt recipes instead. (Or country rib, or pork belly, or honestly any other part of the pig).

Stonewall Kitchens has a Vidalia Onion and Fig Marinade/sauce that is great for pork tenderloin.

OP here, thanks for sharing this info--I really appreciate it. We normally use the regular oven, and my husband has always cooked a perfect tenderloin that way. We recently bought the slow cooker and a Le Creuset dutch oven and thought we'd try it because we have a tenderloin on hand. I'm going to take your advice and try a different cut. Thanks again!

Not quite sure what you mean by grill? I'd like to try your suggestion, but my Le Creuset doesn't have a metal grill with it--is that what you mean?

The picture makes the pork look delicious, and Epicurious is usually my go-to website for recipes. With such a good "fork rating," thinking I might try it! Thanks!

Ha! I'm laughing at myself! Okay--will consider grilling. In the past, have only done grilling with the meat directly on the grill. Thanks for the suggestion!

To be fair, most people's minds don't go to the grill when there is snow on the ground.

This is so delicious and sooo easy. People always think it's much more complicated than it is, compliment me on it, and ask for the recipe. (And then I'm embarrassed to give away how easy it is.)

1. one pork loin -- put in crockpot
2. in separate little bowl, mix together one can of whole berry cranberry sauce and one packet of onion soup mix.
3. dump the above into crockpot and slather all over pork loin.
4. cook on low 6-8 hours.

Pork loin has very little fat. Does it get dry in the slowcooker?

PP above you. It does not with the recipe I posted b/c it is all covered and slathered with the cranberry sauce mixture. It comes out extremely moist and almost falling apart.
