DH just got a Samsung 4 but Verizon was unable to transfer photos from his antiquated flip phone because it broke in half (screen part separated from dial pad part). He is feeling bad because he has irreplaceable photos of his late parents and brother on the phone.
When he tries to put the flip phone contact points (top half to bottom half) together, they don't fit which is why Verizon couldn't get the photos. Does anybody know how to retrieve the photos or if the phone can be jimmied to access photos? While the phone is worthless, the photos are invaluable. |

Is there a memory card inside? More than likely. I would ask at a Verizon store.
It might be a mini one, and you can buy a memory card reader and transfer the images to your computer provided that the disk itself isn't damaged: http://www.staples.com/SanDisk-MobileMate-Duo/product_814084?cid=PS:GooglePLAs:814084&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=34-133882892-2 |
| Can he email or text the pix? I have a 10 year old flip phone and I can still do that. |
I don't think OP's husband's phone has a working screen any longer in order to text, but the photos had to have been stored on somethings, so I'm thinking that there would need to be a memory card in the body of the phone. |
| You will get the most help if you write back with the brand and model. |
Thanks to the serious responses. The phone is a Verizon LG. Unfortunately, there is no memory card. The phone will turn on but the screen is black. The Verizon store staffer was unable to access the photos. Btw, DC is helping dad set up the new phone, and I keep hearing DH say 'wow'! DC says welcome to the 21st century, dad. |
OP here. The phone is 7 years old. |

OP again. I just took a good look at the phone and in all these years, DH never put a memory card into the phone. Just took pictures in the phone memory.
I think the photos might be lost forever but I'll take the phone to a photo shop. Maybe they can retrieve them. |
My Motorola RazR could transfer photos by Bluetooth or mini USB cable. You might try a cable to the computer. |

Man, I loved my Motorola Razr. I miss that phone.
op, does the phone have a port for a data cable? Is it a mini USB? |
OP here. There is a slot for micro SD. |

I have old Samsung flip phone from Verizon but I am no longer active. It will charge. There are several photos of family members that have since passed away.

| I have a lg flipfone tracfone. The model is LG235C and my dad accidentally reset it. Is there anyway to recover the Lost photos??? Please help me its over ten years of photos, thats alot of memories to loose. Thank you. |
What type of input is there for charging? You could just put in a micro SD and transfer the pictures in the phone memory to the SD card and then take the card and upload to your computer |
