I have a really high performing team that I'd like to treat at the final meeting with something homemade (knowing the group, they'd most appreciate that). I was thinking just my basic chocolate chip cookies, but was wondering if there was anything more creative - or easier - that you guys could think of
No allergies or dietary restrictions. They do like their chocolate but are generally health conscious Thanks! |
| I would say chocolate chip cookies or brownies. If you want to get really creative, you could make cake pops and put them in a cellophane bag with a cute ribbon, and attach a thank you note. |
| Brownies...homemade |
| Maybe you do know but I wouldn't do homemade. |
| A bowl of mixed berries, angel food cake, and whip cream |
|
set up an ice cream sundae bar.
hire a crepe person to come in. |
| Celery, watercress, and walnuts. |
|
Thanks for the replies - keep them coming!
(Except the celery ones, that just isn't "treat" enough
|
| My boss brought in homemade crumpets with really good jam and butter, served with tea, it was great! |
I am not a baker, so I heartily subscribe to the view that women should not bring homemade treats to the office if they want to get ahead
I would bring several high-end flavors of ice-cream. Ben & Jerry has flavors with funny names, if you need a conversation starter. |
How do you know OP is a woman? That's rather presumptive. |
My male boss-he even brought a tea cozy. |
Ridiculous. In my department, men bring in homemade treats as much as women do. I personally prefer oatmeal rasin cookies over chocolate chip – just make the recipe on the Quaker oatmeal container. |

No one in their right mind prefers oatmeal raisin to chocolate chip.
If you really want to do the right thing, make oatmeal chocolate chip. |
oh great, now because I am a professional woman I am not allowed to enjoy baking because you think it's stereotypical. My (male) boss and (male) coworkers bring in home-baked goods all the time. Baked by them. So I think you are the the one with an issue here. |
