is there anyway to get rid of this skin? been eating "clean" and working out daily for almost 6 months and no improvement. i don't necessarily want to loose weight i just want things to firm up and although my core feels a lot stronger it still looks saggy and the skin is paper thin. |
| I assume you are a mother (please correct me if I'm wrong) - how far PP are you? |

This is exactly how I looked after DS. After time, it faded & tightened up. Just had baby #2 and planning to put retin A to hopefully speed things along. So frustrating to be otherwise ripped but have so much stretched out skin!!
I know there are plastic surgery options but I think you would need to be done having kids to make that make sense. I'd love to hear anyone else's suggestions! |
Op here. Yes I have 3 kids but the youngest is 2.5 so its not like I'm freshly pp.

Gosh OP. Can I just say-- I know the skin right there in the middle is kind of loose, but you have a beautiful, clearly very fit body. I've never even had a baby and I'd love to look like you.
And I have read that plastic surgery is the only way to get rid of stubborn loose skin. I'll bet it wouldn't be a huge procedure for you, and it would fix that little bit of loose skin right up. There's no reason to be so unhappy with your body, when you have clearly put a lot of hard work into getting in great shape! |
| There's not a lot that can be done for skin, except surgery. What you have is called "mom belly." I have one too after 3 babies. |
| this does not need to be fixed |
| It's a skin issue. Plastic surgery. No amount of exercise/diet is going to fix it. |
| Would anyone honestly get a tummy tuck for THAT? its a small wrinkle of skin??? Would that stomach honestly keep you from wearing a bikini? |
| i'm in the same boat. derm suggested using the retin-a she gave me for my face on my stomach too, but the reality is that it will likely have little impact. personally i'm not willing to go under the knife so i'm living w/ it and now wear tankinis. btw, you are in great shape! |
