A potential client just e-mailed me that she is coming to DC during the holidays with her significant other, and needs some recommendations on "cute shops" in Georgetown, Dupont, downtown, etc., for things like "great boots," vintage clothes, cool accessories/ jewelry, etc. I can't stand the thought of telling her that, as a mother of 2 young children, I'm doing well to get to TJ Maxx. I'm hoping that some of you more fashion-forward moms can help me. Where would you send her to just shop/ look? She's mid-40's and has great -- slightly eccentric -- taste in clothes.
