My feet are a mess in this cold weather - they are super dry and cracking and painful. I have been trying to slather my feet in lotion before bed and sleep with socks on, but my regular lubriderm lotion isn't cutting it. I think I need to use a thick foot cream, so please recommend yours that produces lovely, soft feet Preferably a brand that I can purchase in a drugstore/target. Thanks.

There is something off INside your body; I'd address that first. Circulation, thyroid, excema, ... Pre-diabetes?
My money's on poor circulation from your description. How old are you? |
| I like the Body Shop Body Butter. It comes in many different scents (furit, floral, etc) or you can go with Shea Butter, Brazil Nut butter, etc. Works well for me if I slather it on after a shower and cover feet with socks overnight. |
| op here - tx for the rec's. i am post-menopausal, which has really increased my dry skin - although i've always had some form of dry skin. |
| Ahava mineral foot cream has made all the difference for my feet! You can get it online through Macy's and other stores. |
| Vaseline with socks and pumice stone in shower daily to get rid of the dead dry skin. |
| Amlactin foot cream. |
| Burt's bees-coconut foot cream. |

Dermatologist gave me prescription stuff. I think it helps but doesn't really do the trick.
I recently ordered Baby Foot. That stuff is amazing. It's a plastic sock you put on for just over an hour. It takes a week but then your feet start to peel like crazy and feel like baby feet again! It didn't really remove caluses but the dead skin is gone. One treatment is $25. I might try some of the cheaper versions for follow ups. It did work wonderfully though. All other treatments helped but this just gets rid of it all. |
Yup, or Aquaphor. |
| Coconut oil, then socks. Do it after shower for a week. You'll see a difference. |
+1 but has salicylic acid so i can't use it right now while nursing. Sad. |
