This is our neighborhood school. As of now it is not an option for me both myself and my husband work in DC and we are considering DC privates. I wanted to know what others opinions of this school was so I could see if it was worth reconsidering.

I am unsure of the school but I believe school diggers has information on test scores. When my oldest daughter went to school there it was different leadership and the school was great. I cannot comment on the status of the school now. I must say DC privates are very expensive so if you can afford it by all means you could try.

Unsure if they offer tours in the past you could go up to the school and walk through. This may be a great option for you. Walk through and see the behavior or the students and the teachers. See if the principal is welcoming to your visit and the office. Usually when you walk into a school you get a good idea as soon as you go in.

I have not had kids in the ES school for about three years. But any area such as lake arbor ES, kingsford ES or woodmore ES should have good schools due to the area. I must say when my kids were leaving out the big issue was class sizes. Therefore, if your child has a hard time focusing this may be an issue.
