"Borderline" Blood Pregnancy Test

I took the blood test 3 days after my missed period, I am pretty regular. My HPT was positive and my blood came back "borderline positive" and they want me to retest in a week. This did not happen to me in my first pregnancy. The suspense is going to k*ll me ... those that have been through this, what was the result? Am I really looking at a possible miscarriage? I haven't had any spotting or other symptoms suggesting that. TIA.

How many days past ovulation are you? And what was the numerical result?

You could certainly request to get another test in two days. The doubling time would give you a good indication of how the pregnancy is progressing.

I don't know when I ovulate. The number was either 466 or 488, I can't remember, I was so surprised.

Not sure why that would be considered borderline positive. Numbers seem pretty high to me. Borderline was when my first one was 36!
