What's the specific context? Are we talking redshirting by parents or deadlines (official or unofficial) set by schools?

Plenty of 4 year olds in Pre-K this year. Is something different for the upcoming admissions cycle?

What school and/or district are you talking about? There are a handful of 5 year olds in my DC's Pre-K, but for the most part that's because their birthdays fell after the September 30th cut-off date.
